Our IEFLP Summer Conference will take place in Idyllwild, CA from June 11 - June 16, 2023.
The Inland Empire Future Leaders staff will host a The Inland Empire Future Leaders staff will host an information session for students and parents via ZOOM on March 6 at 7:00 PM. Please encourage your students and parents to attend. Application due date is listed as March 15, 2023. Students are encouraged to begin the application process now. Questions/answers and information will be provided on March 6.

Our Latino student leadership summer conference will be held June 11 - 16, 2023 in Idyllwild, CA. Transportation from CSUSB to and from Idyllwild will be provided for students.

Vision
The Inland Empire Future Leaders Program (“IEFLP”) Associate Board will be a group of passionate, accomplished, and dedicated young professionals that will uphold IEFLP’s pillars of Familia, Leadership and Pride in furtherance of IEFLP’s mission. The Associate Board will manage projects and campaigns that will support the goals advanced by the IEFLP Board of Directors and collaborate to promote and execute all IEFLP programs and objectives. Associate Board members will work closely with the IEFLP Board of Directors. There will be 9 Associate Board Members with one of those members serving as Liaison to the IEFLP Board of Directors.
 
Purpose
(1) an Associate Board will work towards improving retention and encourage the continued involvement of a greater number of talented IEFLP alumni with professional skills and strengths that may be tapped to advance IEFLP’s mission
(2) an Associate Board will expand IEFLP’s resources and assist with the recruitment of future stakeholders and donors
(3) the Associate Board will be a vital resource for the recruitment of capable volunteers for IEFLP projects or events and will bring energy and new ideas to the IEFLP Board of Directors. 
(4) the Associate Board will help IEFLP connect with a younger demographic and expand IEFLP’s network. 
(5) Associate Board Members will raise awareness among their peers and introduce IEFLP’s mission to a larger, untapped audience. (6) Associate Board Members shall offer expertise to IEFLP in developing areas of: branding, communications, digital marketing, marketing, social media, public relations, web and graphic design, strategic partnerships, and technology. 

Requirements 
College graduate with two years of professional work experience 
Commitment to attend meetings of the Associate Board of Directors.
Strongly suggested 35 hour minimum annual commitment to the IEFLP Summer Leadership Conference IEFLP and/or programing (i.e., IEFLP fall conference, IEFLP networking events, IEFLP Gala, community events, IEFLP golf tournament, school district presentations, etc.)

Dear Student: If you are an eighth- or ninth-gr Dear Student: 
 
If you are an eighth- or ninth-grade Latino student, here’s your chance to become part of a very special leadership program. 
 
We’ll be selecting 120 students to attend a summer conference from June 11 to June 16, 2023. 
 
You’ll learn skills that will help you become an effective leader in your school, and eventually in your community, in business and in government. 
 
You’ll learn to be proud of your heritage, develop and use your leadership skills, and be empowered to seek opportunities for educational and professional growth. 

Your meals, lodging, and transportation will be paid by generous contributions from private industry, civic organizations, and individuals. If you are accepted, you will be asked to pay a $40 fee* to cover insurance, a group picture, a T-shirt, and educational materials. 

*$40 fee may be paid by the student's school district in some cases, to be determined in May, 2023.

To be considered for this unique experience, you must: 

1. Be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 (no exceptions).

2. Be in eighth or ninth grade this year.

3. Have demonstrated academic and leadership potential. 

4. Have a 2.5 GPA or higher on your current transcript 

5. Complete and submit the IEFLP application online no later than March 15, 2023 by 11:59 pm. Students will be notified the first week of May, 2023, if accepted.

Dear Future Leader: You learned a lot from camp a Dear Future Leader:

You learned a lot from camp and now you want to come back and be a Staff Member, right? Well, here’s your chance to be part of the hardworking, energetic, and dedicated staff of our Inland Empire Future Leaders Program.

Our conference will be held from June 11–16, 2023. Selected staff members will attend mandatory staff training workshops on: March 26 (support staff only), April 23rd, May 21st and June 4th from 1-4pm.

As a Staff Member, you must be able to set a good example for new Future Leaders by maintaining a positive attitude, demonstrating your academic strengths, and by demonstrating that you are a mature, responsible, and enthusiastic Future Leader.

 
The deadline to submit the online application is February 1, 2023 (11:59 pm). All staff members/volunteers must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 (no exceptions).

 
Further information will be provided with staff acceptance notification letters.
